Future Plans

The SupremeGamer highscores will remain a free service for as long as possible, and I hope that will be forever.

But I have plans...

How does a world wide tournament grab you?

Think it's impossible?

No way! We have developed a system where we can exchange floppies, memory carts and files containing 'ghost data'. You may have seen in Diddy Kong Racing for the Nintendo 64 that you can save your best lap as 'ghost data'.

We will become the central place for the exchange of 'ghosts' for the purpose of the tournament. Here's how it will run.

-We advertise a tournament on the site, either in a one against one or league system for a particular game - you just have to sign up. (For example, Diddy Kong Racing)
-When the entry date has passed we will draw up groups. Then post up tournament details for each entrant. For example: Player A in the UK is due to compete against Player B from the US on date x.
-We then need both Players to send us a controller pak by a set date - if a Player fails to send us their pak by a certain date they forfeit the match. In this example, as Player A is competing against Player B we would need Player A's controller pak to contain the ghost data of their best lap on the agreed track.
-The reason we would also need a controller pak from Player B is for insurance purposes. It would be very easy for a dishonest person to keep Player A's pak. But as we have a pak from Player B - if they decide not to return it we can just send out the pak we are holding of Player B's to Player A. (still with me?!)
-Player B attempts to beat player A's 'ghost' within a certain number of days. If we have not received the pak back by a set date then Player B will forfeit the match.
-If Player B has been successful in beating Player A's ghost lap then Player B will save his lap to the controller pak of Player A, we then check it out and if genuine Player B will advance to the next round or be awarded points according to the type of tournament, if they were unsuccessful then it is declared that player A won, and receives the points/progression.
-When all rounds have been played then all controller paks are returned to their rightful owners and the Grand Winner gets their name in lights! (and maybe a prize!)

This service, as you can probably imagine will take up a lot of time and effort on the part of us here at SupremeGamer, so this service will cost a small amount to run and also to fund prizes. We think that a small fee for every tournament entered is a fair way of doing things, but if you have any suggestions then please drop us a line at [email protected]
